The Grade 8 class decided, after discussing in their Science class the opportunities that their peers in third world countries do not have compared to them, to arrange "A Buy Nothing Day" to help them out. "A Buy Nothing Day" is where anything you were going to purchase for that day, you put aside that money for charity. The Grade 8s then spread the news throughout the school to join them in this project. $1236 was raised for World Vision (half of this amount by the Grade 8 students!). What a giving and caring group of people we have at CCS!

Once again, winter is quickly approaching. The High School SRC is holding a winter clothing drive to help those who may not have all of the essentials that winter in Saskatchewan requires. We will be sending all donations onto Riverside, a new Christian-based outreach centre. Consequently, all donations will stay here in Moose Jaw and be used in our community. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Wright at the school.
